On the first day, students will be broken up into small ensembles according to their ability levels. Students will then rehearse with their groups under the guidance of experienced trumpet instructors for the remainder of the first day and all of the second and third days. Students will learn about different aspects of ensemble playing and rehearsal / performance techniques. On the fourth and final day, each student ensemble will be recorded performing the music that they have prepared over the first two days. The performances will be digitally recorded and professionally edited, and every student will later receive a CD of the entire session’s performances.

The program enrollment will be limited and on a first come, first served basis. There is a minimum enrollment that must be met in order for the program to be held on any given week. Students may enroll in more than one session.

The total cost for each session is $240.00 per student. $120.00 will be due by June 1, 2008 to hold a spot for each student. The remaining $120.00 will be due on the first day of the student's session. The tuition includes studio fees, instructor fees, cost of ensemble scores / music, and recording / editing costs. Payment can be made by check payable to Todd Butler.

Attached is a list of the four Trumpet Ensemble session dates. If you would like to participate, please circle the session(s) that you would like to attend. Also indicate alternate choices should your primary choice be filled. Students should mail this sheet, along with the $120.00 deposit, to the address listed on the Enrollment Form so that it is received by June 1, 2008. Please remember, enrollment is based on the order in which requests are received, so the earlier your request is received, the better your chances will be of getting into your desired session(s). If there is insufficient enrollment for a particular session or ability level, your deposit check will be returned immediately.
